Installing the Equinox software

Welcome to the Equinox installer. You will be prompted with the screen below. You need to choose between Equinox main installation or Equinox remote installation.

A main installation has to be made on the PC which has the hardware (Meteor plus, Pegasus Plus or Satellite) connected to it.

A remote installation requires a computer network and additional licences for Equinox (these can be purchased when the software is registered). A remote installation is on a PC connected to the computer network but not to the hardware device.

After selecting which type of installation you want the following window is displayed.

If you need more information during the installation pressing F1 will display the Equinox help files.

Click next, then the window below is displayed. You need to enter a registered user name (this must be greater than 5 characters) and the serial numbers of your Caller ID products. The bar coded serial number label is located on the bottom of each product.

If only using 1 Hardware device then just enter the product serial number in the serial port A text box and leave the other empty.

COM Port connection

The Meteor Plus, Pegasus Plus or Satellite are connected to a PC via the COM port or a USB adaptor (available separately).

You can only have 2 Caller ID products setup on one PC at any time, (giving you a maximum of 12 monitored lines). A separate COM port is required for each product.
